Biography
Mr. Jansen has over 20 years experience as a supplier of public opinion, public policy, and communications research. He has expertise in all aspects of social science research, from questionnaire design through to complex multivariate analysis of research findings (e.g., cluster analysis, regression analysis, and factorial analysis). Over the course of his career, Mr. Jansen has directed hundreds of studies for a wide range of public and private sector clients. These studies have involved traditional telephone surveys, intercept surveys, in-person surveys, online data collection, and self-completed mail back methodologies. Mr. Jansen's particular area of expertise is the design, analysis, and interpretation of survey research. Mr. Jansen has presented study findings at the ADM, DM, and Ministerial levels within the federal government. Prior to rejoining EKOS in 2004, Mr. Jansen was a Vice President at Ipsos-Reid. Mr. Jansen's responsibilities focused on the management of projects in the public affairs division of Ipsos-Reid. Mr. Jansen directed numerous projects, both qualitative and quantitative, for a wide range of public and private sector clients. He began his career in the early 1990s as a Research Associate with Environics-DRZ. Mr. Jansen graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, and holds a Master of Management Studies degree (with Distinction) from Carleton University.
