Andrew Shaw

Biography

Andrew joined our team as an Event Coordinator in 2016 and quickly caught our attention when his obvious skill and passion in production design & management came to light. A huge fan of burgers and brunch, Andrew is a regular at numerous diners and truck stops throughout Calgary. When a gig takes him out of town, it’s a near guarantee he will return with a restaurant review (or two…). Growing up Andrew played hockey and football while pursuing music through Royal Conservatory piano.  His exploration of music took him on a number of cross-country tours with a local rock band, all while he pursued his undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Calgary.   Andrews’s previous experience includes roles at SAIT, Shaw and the Calgary Stampede. Throughout his various roles he developed skills in talent buying, production design, event coordination and venue design and management. Whether it’s stage and production design, management, or just putting out fires – Andrew is passionate about the show, the experience, and the tech that can make an event truly magical.
