Niklaas Dethmers

Biography

When we say that Niklaas loves musical theatre, we REALLY mean it. We often catch him bopping along to show tunes at his desk, or headed to piano bars for sing-a-longs featuring musical theatre songs. Niklaas was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and the oncoming years were quite the journey that eventually led him to Vancouver and into our wide-open welcoming arms! He first attended the National Theatre School of Canada – Technical Production program, with aspirations of becoming a Stage Manager. He then flew to Vancouver, and while on his flight, fell in love with the plane ride, and enrolled in the Flight Attendant Preparation Program at Eton College. Following that, he rediscovered his love for Events after helping friends plan their wedding, and he then completed an Event Management Diploma from the Institute of Vancouver. The combination of being able to manage a stage, eagerness to travel, and passion for events made him an excellent fit for our team. Although Niklaas loves to direct, he is also a great supporting role (someone call the Tonys and nominate him!). He is a great listener, takes it all in, and adds value to conversation and to those around him. In addition to musical theatre, he also loves to build Lego with his family, and we know he will bring that same dedication and attention to detail as a pivotal part of our events team!
