Biography
Deirdre Vinyard teaches Academic Foundation and serves in the Writing Centre as the second language writing specialist. She has a Master's degree in Linguistics with a specializtion in Teaching English as a Second Language (University of Iowa 1982) and a Ph.D. in Composition and Rhetoric (University of Nevada, Reno 2005.) She has taught writing and ESL in the U.S., Haiti and Japan. She is interested in the various literacies students bring to the classroom.
