Biography
In 2012, Heather Fitzgerald (BA English UVic 1995; MA English Calgary 1998) became the new Coordinator of the Writing Centre at Emily Carr. Before coming to Emily Carr, Fitzgerald taught academic writing at the University of Toronto through the University College Writing Centre. She has a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) through the University of Toronto, and also worked as a lexicographer with Oxford University Press for six years, during which time she edited several dictionary projects, including the second edition of the Canadian Oxford Dictionary and the Canadian Oxford Thesaurus.
