Biography
Maria Anna Parolin is a visual artist and instructor who studied at Capilano University (Studio Art Diploma), University of Victoria (BFA), Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia (Cert.), apprenticed with a master printer in Venice, and received an MFA at the University of Alberta in Printmaking. In 2003, she was awarded a Research Fellowship at Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Japan, was a Visiting Artist at ECUAD during the 2003/04 academic year and continues to teach as Sessional Faculty. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Canada including the Alberta Biennial of Contemporary Art, as well as in Japan, Korea, Sweden, and Italy.
