John K. Whelen

Biography

Mr. John K. Whelen has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Enbridge Inc. since October 15, 2014. Mr. Whelen served as Senior Vice President of Finance at Enbridge Inc. since July 1, 2014 until October 2014. He served as Senior Vice President and Controller of Enbridge from April 2010 to July 1, 2014. He served as the President of Enbridge Income Fund since October 1, 2010. He served as the President of Enbridge Management Services Inc., Manager of Enbridge Income Fund Holdings Inc. until January 1, 2014. Mr. Whelen served as Vice President of Business Development and Chief Financial Officer of Enbridge Management Services Inc., the entity that administers the affairs of Enbridge Income Fund. He was responsible for Enbridge Inc.'s Corporate Development and Investor Relations functions. He served as a Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of Enbridge Inc. since September 2006 until April 2011. He served as Treasurer of Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc., since June 2002. He served as Treasurer of Enbridge Energy Company Inc. - General Partner of Enbridge Energy Partners LP since January 2000. He served as Vice President and Treasurer of Enbridge Inc. since February 2002 until August 2006 and was responsible for corporate and project finance, cash management and banking and financial risk management and served as its Assistant Treasurer. He served as Manager, Corporate Finance, of Enbridge from December 1995 to October 1997. His association with Enbridge dates back to 1992 when he joined British Gas Finance (Canada) in Toronto as Manager of Treasury for The Consumers Gas Company Ltd. (now, Enbridge Gas Distribution). He has been Non-Management Director of Spectra Energy Partners GP LLC since February, 2017. He has been a Director of Enbridge Income Fund Holdings Inc. since February 27, 2017. He has been a Director at Enbridge Energy Management LLC and Enbridge Energy Company, Inc., the General Partner of Enbridge Energy Partners, L.P. since October 31, 2014. He serves as a Director of Enbridge Inc. he has been Director of Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. since October 15, 2014. He has been a Director of Enbridge Pipelines Inc. since 2014. He served as a Director of Alliance Pipeline Ltd., a General Partner of Alliance Pipeline Limited Partnership since September 1, 2010. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Victoria.
