Biography
Mr. de Vries has over 30 years of international executive experience from multiple organizations. His leadership in the polymers, fuels and chemicals sector spanned manufacturing, R&D and application development. He led numerous departments within Basell, a Dutch company that merged with Lyondell in 2008 and became the third-largest independent chemicals company in the world. Based in the Netherlands, Mr. de Vries assumed executive roles, such as President, Basell Polyolefins Europe, and Senior Vice President, Olefins and Polyolefins, Europe, Middle East and Asia, until he retired in 2011.
