Biography
Mr. Barnett has been on the Board of Ensyn Corporation since 1996 and has been actively involved with Ensyn over this period in a range of activities including strategic planning, finance and business development. In April 2011 Mr. Barnett joined Ensyn’s senior management team on a full-time basis. Mr. Barnett has over 25 years of experience in venture and development capital for growth companies. He has served as a Board member of several investment and growth companies including public companies. He initiated his career with the Toronto Dominion Bank (now TD Bank) in Latin America and followed this with five years of investment banking experience with UBS in London with a focus on the Nordic countries. In 1990 Mr. Barnett co-founded Heptagon Investments Ltd., a private equity business specializing in early and mid-stage growth companies. ​Mr. Barnett holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University, in Kingston, Ontario, and an MBA from INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, France.
