Biography
A Research Associate with the Environics Analytics Data Development team, Layne Newhouse helps develop models and algorithms used in creating analytical products for the financial sector. Utilizing his programming background, Layne helps solve optimization problems, performs quality control analysis, and analyzes large datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques. Previously, he worked as an electrical engineering consultant for DJA Engineering Services in Calgary. Layne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from Queen’s University, and has completed Udacity’s online Data Analyst Nanodegree program.
