Biography
Ten years experience in atmospheric data assimilation mostly in the context of R&D in support of the operational 3D/4D variational data assimilation systems at the Canadian Meteorological Centre Three years experience in processing and assimilation of surface wind measurements over the ocean from satellite data (scatterometer) Experience in adjoint model coding (computational differentiation) applied to data assimilation Three years experience in implementation and experimentation with land surface processes parameterization CLASS (Canadian Land Surface Scheme) in the multiscale atmospheric model (GEM)
Research Interest
Development of a global coupled atmosphere-ice-ocean model for environmental prediction in collaboration with national (DFO, DND) and international (MERCATOR) partners
