Biography
Has 29 years experience in statistics, data management, pharmaceutical new drug development, medical and clinical research, Contract Research Organization (CRO) business development and management. Joined The Upjohn Company as the first Biostatistician of Statistical Operations Unit in 1992 when the operation was starting up. Has initiated numerous efforts in improving statistical application and services in clinical studies. Has led efforts in evaluating and implementing new technologies and redesigning workflow processes for the organization. Became the Manager of Clinical Data Management in 1996, and the Director of the unit in 1997 (Pharmacia & Upjohn). Worked for Johnson & Johnson for 3 years prior to joining The Upjohn Company. Has 6 years teaching experience with the last 3 years teaching applied mathematics and statistics in the Guangdong Provincial Economics and Business Management Institute in Guang Zhou, China. Demonstrated strong leadership for results; strong work ethics, values and commitment for excellence. Broad business knowledge and perspective, strong technical skills and functional knowledge. Highly skilled in performance management, benchmarking, improving organization’s profitability and making effective use of resources. Experienced and highly competent in managing change.
