Biography
Chris graduated from the University of Western Ontario in the Honours Business program and then worked as an Audit Supervisor at a predecessor of KPMG, where she obtained her designation as a Chartered Accountant (CA). She is also certified as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Chris joined Extendicare in 1984 and held a variety of management positions in the Accounting and Human Resources departments before being appointed Vice-President, Human Resources in 1999. In 2016, Chris transitioned from the Vice-President, Eastern Operations position, which included oversight of all Extendicare owned homes in Ontario, to the Executive lead on Extendicare’s LTC redevelopment efforts in Ontario. Chris is also focused on furthering Extendicare’s relationship with each of the LHIN’s as Extendicare communicates our strategy to provide care and services across the continuum of care and align our services with the evolving seniors’ care market. Chris represents Extendicare on the Ontario Long-Term Care Association (OLTCA) Board and Advocacy Committee to further the interests of both Extendicare and the Long Term Care sector.
