Gary Loder

Biography

Since joining Extendicare in 1988, Gary has held a variety of positions including Administrator; Assistant Executive Director, Human Resources; Executive Director, Continuing Care; and Regional Director. During his tenure, he has also been part of the Extendicare operational team that commissioned a number of new homes for Extendicare and several new homes for Extendicare and Extendicare partners in Ontario. In 2009 Gary was appointed Director of Redevelopment and Consulting Services, and became Vice President of Extendicare Assist and recently Vice President of SGP Purchasing Partner Network. Extendicare Assist division is designed to focus on the management and consulting side of our business, including business development and redevelopment. SGP Purchasing Partner Network offers unique model that leverages collective national volume, a superior distribution/supplier platform providing value driven prices and cutting edge education/menu technology to achieve the best overall operational results. Prior to his work with Extendicare, Gary was a Labour Relations Consultant with the Newfoundland Hospital and Nursing Home Association, and Director of Human Resources with a long-term care home.
