Richard Luneburg

Biography

Richard joined Extendicare as a dietary aide at the Extendicare Medex long-term care home in 1990, while attending University of Ottawa. After completing his studies, he took a position at the home as an activity aide. Subsequently, Rik worked his way up to Resident Program Manager, Administrator, Senior Administrator, and Regional Director for Eastern Ontario Region. In 2011, Rik was appointed Vice-President of Western Operations and oversaw all long-term care operations in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. In 2014 Rik became Vice-President of ParaMed, Extendicare’s home care division. Having worked and been promoted in several different areas of Extendicare, Rik is an excellent example of the opportunities to learn and grow that Extendicare provides for exceptional employees
