Biography
Andre de Haan is a Partner in the Financial Services Assurance Practice at EY in Toronto and the firm’s Financial Services Organization (FSO) leader. Andre has 30 years of public accounting experience with EY, providing accounting and regulatory support to the firm’s Capital Markets and Financial Services Assurance practices. For the past ten years, Andre has served as a leader for EY’s largest banking clients. Andre is the chair of OSFI’s Deposit-Taking Institutions Auditors Advisory Committee. He is also a member of EY’s global IFRS Financial Instruments Working Group. Andre was on the CPA Canada advisory committee that helped to prepare Accounting Guideline 12 (Securitizations), was the chair of CPA Canada’s Accounting Guideline 13 (Hedging Relationships) implementation guidance working group and was a member of CPA Canada’s 3855 and 3865 Financial Instruments Working Group.

Over the years, Andre has been a frequent speaker on subjects of interest to public companies and the financial services industry. He brings deep subject-matter knowledge on the financial services industry and has 15 years direct experience working with public financial services boards.
