Jay Hutchison

Biography

Jay has served as Managing Partner, Accounts and Markets, since 2014, serving previously as Tax Managing Partner (2010-2014.) He is a member of the Executive Committee. He was previously the Canadian and central market leader for Tax. Over the course of his career, Jay has assumed various leadership responsibilities, including acting as market leader for our Calgary office (2007–10) and Canadian Human Capital leader (2004–06). Jay also served as a member of our Canadian Partnership Board and our Americas and Global Advisory Councils.  

Research Interest

Jay has served as the Global client service partner and Tax account leader on some of our firm’s largest accounts. He has extensive experience providing tax and advisory assistance to clients operating in complex global environments. Jay is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society. He has also been a frequent public speaker on several issues, including the tax considerations related to IFRS adoption.
