Biography
Andrew L. Mattson has served as Deputy Head of Corporate Security for BNP Paribas Bank since July 2008. He is responsible for oversight of physical security operations at all offices located within the North America. BNP Paribas is a European leader in banking and financial services, with a significant and growing presence in the United States. Professor Mattson retired from the New York City Police Department at the rank of Detective 2nd Grade in January 2008 after 20 years of service. His last assignment prior to retirement was with the NYPD Counterterrorism Division where he served from 2002 -2008. Detective. Mattson was assigned to the Threat Reduction and Infrastructure Protection Section and responsible for helping increase the overall security posture of critical infrastructure within the City of New York. During his tenure with the NYPD, Detective Mattson’s performed assignments in the Organized Crime Control Division, Community Affairs and Patrol Services Bureau.
