Biography
Dr. Elif Özdener joined the School of Pharmacy in August 2014. In her current role as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Özdener teaches in the integrated pharmacotherapy courses and provides care to patients with HIV infection at her practice site. In her previous role as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Fairleigh Dickinson University, she taught pharmacy students during their experiential year in her pharmacist-run ambulatory care clinic. Dr. Özdener received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of the Sciences, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. She completed her post-graduate, ASHP-accredited, residency training focused on ambulatory care pharmacy practice at Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Dr. Özdener also completed the Teaching and Learning Curriculum program through Wilkes University, Nesbitt School of Pharmacy. She is a licensed pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Dr. Özdener is also a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, an American Academy of HIV Pharmacist, and a Certified Diabetes Educator.
