Biography
Dr. Kattelman is an Assistant Professor of Political Science in the School of Criminal Justice, Political Science, and International Studies. Prior to joining the faculty of FDU, he served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. Dr. Kattelman received his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO, where he served his first academic posting as a Mizzou Advantage Postdoctoral Fellow in the Food for the Future program, where he researched how current efforts to aid global hunger and development affect state security in a post-Cold War international community.
Research Interest
His current research and publication record concentrates on the ability of political institutions to affect counterterrorist strategies and international cooperation. As such, he teaches a wide array of courses in political science, including political ethics, international security, and foreign policy.
