Biography
Robert S. Baumol graduated from Washington University in St. Louis where he majored in Political Science and French. He also received his Juris Doctorate from Washington University. Robert practiced law for 20+ years in New York and Bergen County, having been admitted to state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. He tried criminal and civil cases and for several years worked as a public defender in Kings County. Mr. Baumol received a Juvenile Justice Award from the Superior Court, Bergen County for representing juveniles pro bono. In his last 3 years of practice, Mr. Baumol was a supervising attorney at Passaic County Legal Aid Society. Mr. Baumol taught business law at The Berkeley College, taught criminal law and procedure and other courses at the National Academy of Paralegal Studies, and since 2012, has taught Introduction to Political Science and American Government at FDU. In furtherance of his interest in presidential history, Mr. Baumol served as a docent at the Grover Cleveland Birthplace Museum and has made numerous presentations on the life and political career of President Cleveland.
