Biography
Roger Forsthoff, recently retired as Lieutenant and Director of the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Forensic Laboratory, located in Jersey City. In his capacity as Director, Prof. Forsthoff oversaw a laboratory staff of five scientists and evidence handlers. From 1988 to 1995 as a homicide investigator, Lieutenant Forsthoff was responsible for all facets of homicide investigation. During his career, Lt. Forsthoff was involved in over 400 homicide, suicide, suspicious death and aggravated sexual assault investigations. He received a Master Degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City and his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from the University Of Maine. He is a graduate of the New Jersey State Police Crime Scene Investigation School and the Advanced Crime Scene- Blood Pattern Analysis School at the FBI Academy. As a Certified Police Instructor, Prof. Forsthoff teaches both newly appointed and veteran law enforcement officers on a variety of crime scene related topics.
