Biography
Dr. Rubi Mahato started as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences with the School of Pharmacy in June 2014. Dr. Mahato received her B.PHARM degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India. Before joining FDU, Dr. Mahato worked as a visiting research scientist at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and as a research scientist in the School of Pharmacy, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). Dr. Mahato graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chemistry. Dr. Mahato’s area of expertise is gene delivery in the cancer therapy and type-1 Diabetes, and the development of targeted delivery system for nucleic acid drug delivery. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed research articles, reviews and book chapters.
