Biography
Dr. Mark Norman (B.Sc, B.Ed, DVM) graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and has been practicing in Calgary ever since. However he took some varying career paths before settling into veterinary medicine. He acquired his B.Sc. in Marine Biology from UBC where he was also a member of the championship Thunderbirds football team. A move to Alberta brought him to the CFL playing for the Edmonton Eskimos for 5 years which included a Grey Cup win in 1987. He then went on to complete a B.Ed. from the U of A in 1994. Dr. Norman was also a marine mammal trainer which involved work at facilities close to home as well as internationally, including Florida and Australia. Dr. Norman is currently an owner of the Fish Creek 24hr Pet Hospital and the Southpointe Pet Hospital. He divides his time between these clinics but admittedly has a passion for emergency medicine. In his spare time you might find him out on a golf course or home with his girlfriend and their furry family of four Bernese Mountain Dogs.
