Biography
Emily is a graduate of the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, with a BComm in Marketing. With over 13 years experience in Marketing & Communications including corporate sponsorships for the Calgary Stampede and agency Account Direction, Emily brings leadership and direction to the team at FLIPP. A strong believer in giving back, she has been a mentor for the Haskayne School of Business Mentorship program for 8 years running and a 5 year guest speaker in the Women's Venture Accelerator Program at Momentum Calgary. In 2017 she was named Chair of the annual Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) fundraiser after being Marketing Chair for 4 years. In 2014 she joined JDRF Vancouver as the Marketing & Communications Chair for the Rockin' For Research Executive Committee. Dedicated to a life-work balance, Emily practices what she preaches. A proud mother who loves wine and refuses to let her Pearl Jam Ten Club membership lapse. A yoga enthusiast and an inducted member of the International Business Honour Society of Beta Gamma Sigma.
