Biography
Don Getzlaf is a professional Engineer with more than 35 years of oilfield experience, specializing in cementing, well construction, chemistry and completions. Don has authored numerous papers on advancing materials and methods related to oilfield cementing and completions. Don also holds 37 patents and pending patents in these disciplines. Via global operational experience garnered by working in senior positions for both service operators (Halliburton) and E&P companies (Talisman & Nexen Energy), Don’s expertise and innovation is widely respected amongst industry veterans around the world. Don is a recipient of numerous industry recognized awards including “World Oils” “Global Completion Technology of the Year”, Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) “Completions Engineer of the Year” and an Alberta’s “Leader of Tomorrow” award to name a few. As founder and Chief Technology Officer of NCS, Don grew the company from a startup to an undisputed leader in multistage pinpoint stimulation. Don is instrumental in assisting Fluid Energy Group bringing to bear a world class knowledge and operational foundation that can only be garnered through a lifetime of industry experience.
