Muhammad Akmal Jameel is Chief Financial Officer at Fusion Genomics Fusion's mission is to develop massively multiplexed and highly sensitive DNA based diagnostics for infectious diseases that give the nearly the same amount of actionable information as meta-genomic sequencing at fraction of the cost. The company's products change the paradigm in both treatment of the individual (giving full genomic information for optimum/personalized therapy) and public health (giving information that enables development of transmission dynamic models, outbreak predictions and optimal vaccine development). He is responsible for the financial affairs of the company including accounting/tax and fund raising (together with CSO/President). The company is raising funds from angel investors, VCs and non-dilutive sources. Current funding has been nearly C$1m in equity and C$400k+ in grants.
