Sébastien Vezina

Biography

 Mr. Vezina is a member of the Business Law Group at Lavery’s Montreal office. His practice includes the area of mergers and acquisitions, namely of publicly held and privately held companies as well as public and private financings. In addition, Sébastien is skilled in the negotiation of various commercial agreements and regularly advises the firm’s clients on issues of a general nature in corporate law. Sébastien has acted as lead counsel for numerous publicly held mining companies and institutional investors. Throughout his years of practice in Mining Law, Sébastien has acquired in-depth knowledge of the activities and operations of mining companies. Through this experience, he has developed the ability to manage the legal aspects of any mining transaction, including the preparation, structuring and drafting of the documents necessary to bring the transaction to a successful conclusion. Among his recent accomplishments, Sébastien played a key role with some key players in the development of the Northern Territory. Currently Chair of Lavery’s Energy and Natural Resources Group, Sébastien assists as lead advisor to major players active in Northern Québec. Lavery’s group is sailing full speed ahead with many of the firm’s clients’ projects aiming to promote the mineral and energy potential of an immense area of land located north of the 49th parallel.
