Biography
Brian P. Herner, B.Sc., is a Founder and Senior Corporate Advisor of Biorem Technologies Inc. Mr. Herner has had a 45 year career in the business of commercializing emerging technologies in the environmental industry. Mr. Herner serves as Senior Advisor to Chief Executive Officer of BIOREM Inc. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Biorem Technologies Inc. since 1993. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of BIOREM Inc. until April 2, 2007 and Senior Advisor since April 2, 2007. Mr. Herner has extensive general business management experience, including, as Business Director for Chemviron, Vice-President of Zenon Environmental Inc. (Zenon Pure Water Systems), President of General Chemical Ltd. and General Manager & European Business Director of Calgon Corp. Canada Ltd. He has extensive experience in the application of advanced technologies for environmental control. He has been involved in many of Canada's resource and manufacturing industries, including, pulp and paper, coal and iron mining and petroleum production and refining. He has been Director at Biorem Technologies Inc. since 1993, BIOREM Inc. since December 17, 2014 and Greater Toronto Airports Authority since May 6, 2009. He served as Director of BIOREM Inc. from January 21, 2005 to April 2, 2007. He served as Director of Ontario Capital Opportunities Inc. Mr. Herner obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Math, Chemistry and Physics from the University of Manitoba.
