Biography
Mr. Bob Johnston is the Director of Communication & Government Relations and is responsible for maintaining contact with Federal and Provincial Government Departments as well as communications activities. He has thirty years’ experience working for the Federal Government including Area Director for the Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) for PEI. In the latter capacity, he implemented an aquaculture development program for PEI, as well the Inspection Program for fish plants. Following his employment with DFO, Mr. Johnston worked as the Director of the Canadian Aquaculture Institute at UPEI. In this capacity, he was responsible for the organization and coordination of aquaculture training courses delivered across Canada and internationally, including the US, Iceland, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.
