Barry Holt

Biography

As the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Barry is responsible for all areas of Honda Canada’s business operations, including strengthening the internal operations of the company, reinforcing its strategic direction and enhancing the coordination of North American regional initiatives.  Barry is also a Board of Directors member of Honda Trading Inc. Barry joined Honda Canada in 1991 as the Manager of Accounting at Honda Canada Finance Inc., before progressing in his career to Vice President of Finance and Administration at Honda Canada Inc. in 2006.  In this position, Barry spearheaded the official planning, design and construction of Honda Canada’s Gold Certified LEED® head office campus in Markham, Ontario.  Most recently as CFO and SVP Support Services, Barry oversaw the day to day activities of all internal corporate departments. Having over 30 years of experience in the accounting, leasing and finance space, Barry’s strategic planning abilities and results-oriented success have driven Barry to his current executive position. An early blue Honda Prelude helped to instill a love of the automobile in Barry, as he idolized his older brother’s car parked in their driveway. As a longtime loyal fan of the Toronto Blue JaysTM, he enjoys a good time at the ball park and spending time at his cottage with his wife of 33 years and three grown children.
