Jeffrey Lem

Biography

Jeffrey is the Director of Titles for the Province of Ontario. As the Director of Titles, Jeffrey is directly responsible for the integrity and operation of Ontario’s electronic real estate registration system, which contains over 7.5 Million distinct properties. Prior to joining the Ontario Public Service, Jeffrey spent over twenty-five years practicing at some of Canada’s most prestigious Bay Street law firms, specializing in corporate and commercial real estate law. He is also a long-time trusted legal advisor to the Mon Sheong Foundation, Canada’s largest Chinese-Canadian charity, and has been awarded the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers’ Lifetime Achievement Award, the Toronto Lawyers’ Association’s Honsberger Award for Advocacy and Education, and the Ontario Bar Association’s Award of Excellence in Real Estate. Jeffrey brings to the ICA invaluable insights into corporate governance and best practices in the operation of the ICA as a world-class non-profit organization, together with strategic advice in promoting the growth of Chinese foreign direct investment in Canada.
