Biography
Alex Zahavich was director of Applied Research and Innovation Services before moving to his current position with SAIT. He was a researcher with Own the Podium, led the analysis of the design and safety of the Whistler Sliding Track, and was a co-recipient of the 2012 President’s Volunteer of the Year Award for Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton. Zahavich is currently on the board of the Alberta Skeleton Association (ASA) and Virtual Researchers on Call.
