Research Interest
Gilles Sénécal is primarily interested in the urban environment and local community life. His research focuses on three areas: the study of public policies in the urban environment, the action of local groups on the living environment and the tools developed with a view to measuring the quality of life and the advances of urban sustainable development. They describe the evolution of local and metropolitan areas and analyze the transformations that affect the health of communities. Topics include metropolitan morphologies, urban revitalization policies, the effects of neighborhood groups and networks, local controversies, urban nature and climate change.
