Biography
"Benoit Morissette was appointed Chief Risk Officer at Intact Financial Corporation on January 1, 2016. In this role Mr. Morissette is responsible to provide risk management leadership to the organisation at the corporate strategic and business management level. Mr. Morissette joined Intact in 2001 as Vice President Actuarial. After a number of progressive assignments, in 2010 he took the role of Deputy Senior Vice President responsible for pricing and underwriting for the Direct To Consumer Distribution channel. In February 2013, Mr. Morissette was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Internal Auditor, where he led the development and implementation of Intact’s internal audit activities and ensured that Intact is in accordance with the expected standards of corporate governance, compliance and ethics. Throughout his career, Mr. Morissette served on various committees of the Insurance Bureau of Canada, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Direct Relationship Insurers. Mr. Morissette holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Sciences from Laval University and he is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries."
