Biography

Michael Bender is the vice president of operations, western surface water. As a seasoned water resources professional with over 20 years in the industry, Michael is an industry leader and award winning innovator. With Canadian and international experience, he is an expert in river engineering, fish passage, culvert design, erosion control, mine water management, mine closure planning, drinking water source protection, water supply planning, drought preparedness, flood control, and watershed management. Michael holds a doctorate degree in civil engineering from the University of Manitoba
