Biography
Mr. Oliver was appointed as Independent Chairman in August 2002 and was first appointed as Director in March 1995. Mr. Oliver retired from the Bank of Nova Scotia in 2008, after 41 years of working in retail, corporate and investment banking. He was Executive Managing Director and Co-Head of Scotia Capital U.S., Senior Vice-President, Atlantic Region, and Senior Vice-President, Corporate and Real Estate. Mr. Oliver is Chair of the Canadian Museum of Immigration, a Federal Crown Corporation and Vice Chair, Autism Nova Scotia.
