Biography
Paul Tomory was appointed to the new role of Chief Technical Officer on January 1, 2017. Paul is responsible for Project Development, Technical Services, Brownfield Exploration, Operations Strategy and Supply Chain. Paul has been at Kinross since 2008 and most recently oversaw the two-phased expansion approach at Tasiast. He is also overseeing the studies for the Vantage Complex project at Bald Mountain, and the Round Mountain Phase W project. He was previously at Bain & Company, focusing on mining and heavy industry, and at Golder Associates, where he worked on numerous mining and heavy civil works projects as a geotechnical engineer. Paul has a B.A.Sc. and a M.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Mining) from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
