Dr. Jean Pierre Cliche

Biography

Dr. Jean Pierre Cliche received his medical degree from Laval University, Quebec in 1997. He completed his residency in Nuclear Medicine at McGill University, Quebec in 2001 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2001 with a Specialist Certificate in Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Cliche went on to complete training in FDG-PET Oncology Imaging (Positron Emission Tomography) at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston Massachusetts in 2001. A dedicated and highly skilled medical professional, Dr. Cliche joined KMH Cardiology & Diagnostic Centres in 2007 as a Nuclear Medicine Specialist. Prior to joining KMH, he served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine of the London Health Sciences Centre (2006) and as Nuclear Medicine Specialist at the Oshawa and Whitby Nuclear Medicine Clinics from 2002 to 2006. He also served as Assistant Professor of the Medical Staff at the Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario and Nuclear Medicine Specialist at the Centre Hospitalier Regional des Vallees de l’Outaouais, in Hull, Quebec from 2001 to 2002. Active in the medical community, Dr. Cliche served as the Chair of the Nuclear Medicine section of the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) from 2008 to 2010. He is currently the Past Chair. From 2001-2007 he was a member of the Ontario PET Clinical Trials Steering Committee which advised the province of Ontario and the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care on matters related to PET and coordinated the introduction of PET to Ontario. In 2002 Dr. Cliche served on the PET Committee of the Ottawa Hospital where he worked on establishment of the Oncologic PET Program and was Chair of the Clinical Subcommittee and member of the Technical Subcommittee. Dr. Cliche has contributed to numerous research studies, publications, paper presentations and offers CMEs on a wide range of topics related to nuclear medicine, PET and more.
