Dr. Jenny Wu

Biography

Dr. Jenny Wu received her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine Miami, Florida in 1994. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Michigan and completed a Cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio in 2000. A committed and attentive medical professional, Dr. Wu joined KMH in 2010. Prior to joining KMH she served as Senior Staff Cardiologist at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan as Regional Medical Director of outpatient cardiology at the Henry Ford Health Systems in Livonia. Her previous experiences also include Staff Echocardiography Reader, Attending/Staff and Attending/Adjunct at the William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan, and also as consultant cardiologist at Academic Cardiology Associates private practice group in Troy, Michigan. Dr. Wu’s professional interests include: preventative cardiology, women’s health, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and coronary CT angiography. An active member of the medical community, Dr. Wu has been a member of the American College of Cardiology since 1997, was a council member of the American Heart Association from 2001-2004 and has been a member of the American Society of Echocardiography since 2003. Dr. Wu is the recipient of numerous awards including the Henry King Stanford Scholarship and the University of Miami School of Medicine Board of Trustees Scholarship. She is the author of numerous articles, abstracts, book chapters and has conducted oral presentations and research on topics such as: Use of Exercise Stress Echocardiography in Asymptomatic Patients with Severe Myxomatous Mitral Regurgitation, Effectiveness of Preoperative Cardiac Risk Assessment at a Tertiary Care Referral Center and Surgery for Myxomatous Mitral Regurgitation: Trends Over an Eleven-Year Period.
