Biography
Mr. Wesley M. Clark, also known as Wes, serves as an Adviser of Advent International Corporation. Mr. Clark served as the Chief Executive Officer of Morton International, LLC until October 2009. Mr. Clark served as Chief Executive Officer of Rohm and Haas' Salt Group since August 2007 with responsibility for Morton Salt, Inc. and Windsor Salt companies. Prior to joining Rohm and Haas, he was an Operating Partner at Advent International Global Private Equity. He joined W.W. Grainger Inc. since 1992 and served as its President and the Chief Operating Officer since 2001 and also served as its Senior Executive for more than a decade. He was responsible for Grainger's businesses in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Asia. He served as Group President, Vice President of Field Operations and Quality, President of Sanitary Supplies and Equipment and Senior Vice President, Operations and Quality of W.W. Grainger Inc. He served as Vice President of Cummins' Advanced Drivetrain Corporation and Division General Manager of Granite Rock Company. He serves as the Chairman of MORSCO, Inc. Mr. Clark serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Distribution International, Inc. He served as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Morrison Supply Company, LLC, Patriot Supply Holdings, Inc. He has been a Director of Morton International, LLC since October 2009. He serves as Director of ABC Supply Co., Inc. He serves as a Board Member of Uline Inc. and K+S AG. He serves as a Director of Distribution International, Inc. He serves as a Board Member of the National Museum of Mexican Art and Preserve To Enjoy. He served as Director at CLARCOR Inc. from March 26, 2013 to February 28, 2017. He serves on the Governing Boards of several organizations including America's Second Harvest National Food Bank Network, The Lincoln Foundation for Business Excellence and the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum. He served as a Member of the Management Board of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He served as a Director of W.W. Grainger, Inc. since 2001. He is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Union League Club and the Columbia Yacht Club. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Stanford University in 1977.
