Biography
I studied Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University, China, where I received my BASc. and MASc in Chemical Engineering. For my PhD, I worked in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Alberta, Canada, and carried out research on advanced control methods for complicated systems. Since 2002, I have been teaching process control and other engineering courses at Laurentian University, where I also conduct significant research in both theoretical and applied industrial process modeling and control. I am a past chair of the System and Control Division of the Canadian Society of Chemical Engineering (CSChE), and have co-chaired several national and international conferences in Sudbury
