Biography

In her doctoral and postdoctoral studies, Josette Brun took a look at the lives of married and widowed people in the 18th century, which she describes in her book Life and Death of the Couple in New France. If, since its involvement in the Department, history is no longer a research subject in itself, it has become a critical perspective, a methodological tool. She has just directed a collective called Interrelations women-media in French America which she is particularly satisfied.
