Biography
Her general interest in the media has almost led her to television production or journalism. But his desire to stimulate reflection on the central role of the media in defining norms and values ​​prevailed. Véronique Nguyên-Duy holds a bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree in communication from UQAM. She is best known for her work on popular culture and on television fiction and its social function. The Téléroman Québécois, she analyzed it from every angle! But his interest in communication research does not stop there. Véronique Nguyên-Duy also seeks to bring a philosophical, epistemological perspective to her analysis and questioning. Professor at the Department since 1997, Véronique Nguyên-Duy is also the director of the doctoral program and associate director of the master's program with a dissertation in public communication since 2009.
