Rick Hoevenaars

Biography

Rick is the Executive Vice President Finance & Chief Financial Officer of Libro Credit Union. His career began as a summer student in 1973 and 40+ years later he’s still here! Rick obtained his Certified General Accountant designation in 1985, Fellowship to the Credit Union Institute of Canada in 1993, and completed the Queen’s School of Business Executive Program in 1999. He is currently the Chair of Central 1 Credit Union’s Board of Directors and is a member of the Board of Directors of the CUCO Co-operative Association and a member of Financial Executives International’s Southwestern Ontario Chapter. Rick has held positions with the Credit Union Managers Association of Ontario, DICO Sound Business Practices Committee, Credit Union Central of Canada’s Networks Task Force and various other Ontario and BC Committees. In the community Rick is currently a member of Western University’s Audit Committee and a past member of United Way’s Poverty Impact Council. Rick and his wife Gail have been married over 30 years and are proud parents of three grown children. In his spare time Rick enjoys golfing, reading, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
