Janet Northan

Biography

Janet was a member of the leadership team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre as well as its research arm, the Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute, a medical imaging research institute that she helped to found. Janet has a Masters degree in International Management and firmly believes that partnering is the modern way to compete in today’s global business and research ecosystems. Janet joined the health sector in 1999 fulfilling a variety of roles including leadership for regional cancer planning, knowledge and performance management, strategic planning, government relations and commercialization of research. Prior to this, Janet spent 14 years as a professor in the Business Division at Confederation College, seeding her passion for educational outreach.
