Biography
Brian’s clinical practice has been predominately focused in the area of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. More recently, he has been a faculty member with the MacEwan University Psychiatric Nursing Program since 2002. Along with recent publications and conference presentations in which Brian critically analyzes the influence of philosophy/pedagogy, power relations, and the dominant social discourse on technology-based learning tools such as high-fidelity simulation, his recently completed dissertation research has focused explicitly on the use of high-fidelity human patient simulation in undergraduate nursing education.
