Biography
Dr. Ferede is an Associate Professor of Economics at MacEwan University where he has held an academic appointment since 2006. He is also currently serving as a Fellow with the Institute of Public Economics, University of Alberta. He has previously taught at Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), University of Alberta, and University of Windsor. He was a winner of the University of Windsor Teaching Score Award for the academic year 2005-06. He attended Addis Ababa University and the University of Alberta. His teaching interests include taxation policy, macroeconomics, and money and banking. Dr. Ferede has been actively engaged in research in the area of public finance and macroeconomics.
