Biography
Dr. Evandro Bocatto is an associate professor in MacEwan University's School of Business. He teaches Contemporary Issues in Management, Innovation and Intrapreneurship and Qualitative Methods. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from Pontifical Catholic University in Brazil. He has a Masters in Business Administration (stricto sensu) from EAESP/FGV in Sao Paulo, Brazil. After working several years as a consultant and teaching courses related to the areas of organizational behaviour and human resources management in Brazil, he attended post-graduate studies in Spain, where he obtained a Masters of Research (DEA) and a PhD in Management Studies from ESADE Business Shool, Ramon Lull University in Barcelona.
Research Interest
Dr. Bocatto's main topic of research is rooted in the epistemological view of the Critical Theory of Society. His PhD thesis, called “Learning and Managing Citizenship: Understanding the Case of Participatory Budget in Brazilian Municipalities,” provides information about the preconditions and characteristics of organizational settings in which critical learning is enacted
