Biography
Dr. Gaelan Murphy has a PhD in Government from Georgetown University with a concentration in political philosophy, prior to that he completed his MA and BA at Carleton University. His primary field of research is 19th and 20th century continental political philosophy with a focus on German Idealism and the tradition of thought it inspired. He is currently working on a manuscript titled Everything is Amazing and Nobody is Happy: Happiness and Education in the Moral Universe of Science in which he argues that the account of life provided for us by the materialism of modern science never provides the happiness it promises.
